Welcome to the NEW and Improved Virginia Tech–Integrated SHARP Logger Training Site

Our revamped site delivers the same expert training and resources from the Sustainable Harvesting and Resource Professional (SHARP) Logger Program, now embedded seamlessly within Virginia Tech’s Ensemble CMS to match the university’s look and feel. Whether you're completing your core 12‑hour training, earning continuing education (CE) credits online, or managing your credentials, everything you rely on is now accessible with a unified VT web experience.

Training & Continuing Education
Loggers and foresters can conveniently find core training events across Virginia—typically two-part, 12‑hour sessions combining classroom and field exercises. Once certified, participants must also earn 8–12 CE credits every 2–3 years, including at least one required update class. The online portal supports both in-person sign‑ups and virtual sessions, complete with quizzes and credit tracking.

Searchable Credential Database & Resources
The site includes a searchable database listing current SHARP Loggers—including names, companies, renewal dates, and CE status—so professionals and landowners alike can verify participation. We also offer downloadable guides, checklists, and digital forms to support your forestry operations and compliance.
