This database contains the names and training status of loggers, foresters and others who currently hold SHARP Logger standing in Virginia.

The SHARP Logger website and database are being redesigned. The 10/8/2025 data will be returned until the redesign is complete. If more recent information is needed, please contact the SHARP Logger Program at SharpLogger@vt.edu or 540-231-6494.

To receive SHARP status, the individual must complete the 12-hour core program of classroom and field training. SHARP Logger standing must be renewed every two years by completing 8 Continuing Education (CE) credit hours, which must include the required 2 CE credit SHARP Logger Update Class.

NOTE: To find an individual SHARP Logger, it is often best to search by only one field, such as last name. Entering information in more than one field on the search form can narrow down the results, but if the information you enter doesn't match the information in our database EXACTLY, you may not find the person you are looking for.
